About
Elijah Skyfire
Hello everyone, I’m Elijah Skyfire and I would like to start by thanking you for reading or taking an interest in my work.
Throughout my life I was left to my imagination and put it to good use by creating war scenes with my action figures or diving into books, lacking siblings as an only child with a few cousins to interact with. I started out as a horror buff but moved towards fantasy and sci-fi, becoming enamored in world building, the infinite expanse of space and map creation. When I was introduced to and played the second Final Fantasy for the SNES, I was thrilled to be able to play a story where I had control of the characters and felt like I could further immerse myself into worlds created by other story tellers. Eventually I wanted to become a creator of worlds and universes myself and now I have.
Throughout my existence I never felt like I fit into any group, circle of friends or even my family so I would retreat to the recesses of my mind. I found the world to be cold, rigid and generally predatory. It left me to wonder why I was lied to when I was taught to be fair, generous and accepting of others. These lies created a version of me that was vulnerable and naïve to the true nature of humanity and how we operate as a species.
Regardless of the hard lessons learned and the hurdles overcame, many of which were created by my own inexperienced, naïve decision making, I have come to a few conclusions.
First, rather than devolving I can improve myself, and then try to improve my general surroundings and society. Second, if I don’t like what I see in the world I can either complain about it or attempt to improve things, which I’m hoping to do with the old adage of the pen being mightier than the sword. Third, I have created the goals to build a healing center and to hopefully see the universe that I’ve created in an interactive world or possibly on screen.
If you have purchased a book, you have helped me move in that direction. You have my undying gratitude and thanks. As much as it’s easy to dislike people and even humanity, without others, there’s no point in accomplishment or purpose that can’t be shared.
